A recent application of TRIZ, Directed Evolution (DE) has been in development since the mid-1980s. Taken as a whole, DE comprises a complex group of works related to the management and control of technological evolution.

This book presents the recent theoretical and methodological findings that have resulted from consideration of the philosophy and potential of DE on a global scale, and from the practical experience gained from DE projects conducted in various industries, including chemical, automotive, consumer products, and software development.
